Bob Darling is really Bob Baldwin! Why you say? Well it's quite simple. Bob Darling is the name that Bob went by for years while working for a glamour company in the Bay Area called 'Portraits International'. His hair and makeup artists during that time would constantly call for him ... "Bob" darling would you bring me a soda. "Bob" darling would you please open the door for me ... and on and on with "Bob" darling this and "Bob" darling that ... until it became quite clear after moving up to Placerville in 1997 that Bob Darling would become our business name! I, too, am called Sharon Darling quite often! Bob has been taking photographs for over 30 years ... 27 of which we have been married! We have three beautiful daughters .

Since opening the studio in August of 1997, we have accumulated over 3,000 clients! Our weddings have grown from 4 our first year to over 25 for 2001. We have stopped counting our weddings in 'calendar' years as we are always booking ahead. We are averaging 25 weddings always ahead of us ... To date, we have photographed approximately 250 weddings! It looks like Bob's specialty has become passports, portraits and WEDDINGS!

In 2002, our oldest daughter Vicki [Victoria Baldwin Aguilar] came to work at the studio as a photographer and Studio Manager. We are fortunate to have her talent and fresh ideas. She is a driving force to delivering quality service to our brides & grooms. Vicki and her son Jeff. Jr. pictured to your right! Vicki now has her own business ... Darling Photography serving Amador County, Calaveras County, Stanislaus County, and surrounding areas in Northern California. ... of course she does weddings too.
